Power Must Change Hands*
*Saturday June 4th, 2022*
Text: *Psalm 119:89; Hebrews 4:12*
When we say settled, we mean:
– Firmly fixed.
– Sure.
– Immovable.
The Bible says _”heaven and earth shall pass away, but not an iota of my Word will pass away unfulfilled”._
– Firm.
– Established.
– Will be so forever.
No wonder the Bible says _”He has magnified His Word above all His names”._ If that Word comes to you here this morning and says “there is someone here, God says this will happen to you”, it is already settled. All you need to do is to receive it.
The Bible says “For the word of God is”:
1. quick: life, living.
2. Powerful.
3. Sharper than any two edged sword.
4. Piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and joints and marrow: it can separate two different things that are always glued together. The word of God has the capacity to separate them.
5. A discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
All of these talk about the power in the Word of God. No wonder the Bible says *”Forever O Lord, thy Word is settled in heaven”.*
*The Word of God:*
– Is the solution to every problem.
– Is the last bus stop of every problem.
– Is the hammer that breaks rocks to pieces.
– Brings illumination.
– Brings revelation.
– Brings direction.
That is why it is the cure to the darkness of Man.
– Gives a perspective of things from heaven and not from earth here.
*”Thy Word is settled”*.
*The Bible:*
– Is a book of books.
– Is the manifesto that God has given to us.
– Our syllabus.
– Our constitution.
The Word of God is from the mouth of the prophets and the major source of that book is from the Bible. That is why it is called the book of books. Men, scientists, historians and many people have tried to discredit the Bible, but the Bible has always defeated them and won. Someone asked that great British preacher called Spurgeon to defend the Bible. Spurgeon said something quite profound. He said: the Word of God is like a lion. You do not have to defend a lion. All you have to do is to let the lion loose and the lion will defend himself.
My basic training was in the sciences and I can categorically tell you that the Bible was written more that 1,600 years ago by more than 40 authors and they wrote from 3 different continents in 3 different languages. They spoke on hundreds of topics, sometimes very controversial subjects but inspite of the wideness in the geography of those who were writing it, they wrote down their words with agreement and harmony. As a scientist, it is instructive to know that science has backed up many of the Bible stories that we hear and that the Bible is filled with scientific and medical facts written thousands of years ago before men even discovered that it is true.
Many years back, some people gathered together to attack the Bible but all the points they were raising were defeated by the Bible. They decided to hold on to one, which is the story of Jonah. They said that scientifically, it does not make sense, it is not possible for a fish to swallow a man and the man would be inside that fish for 3 days and he would still be alive. But this is why God is always God and man will always be man. They were still arguing about it when one day, a man called James Bartley working in the sea was swallowed by a whale. His colleagues who were fishing together with him saw him being swallowed by the whale.
So they started to pursue the whale and were shooting at it but they could not get to kill that whale until about 3 days. They dragged the whale to the shore, cut this large whale open and were shocked to find out that he was still alive after 3 days. So, that completely silenced the critics. This story I just told you happened about 150 years ago. But last year, another one happened. Somebody called Michael Parkaday was swallowed again by a whale and he was vomited. He still remained alive. *”Forever O Lord, thy Word is settled in heaven”.*
If you know that that Word is settled for you, right there where you are, you are going to rise to your feet and cry with a loud voice; because it is that word that says _”Call upon me and I will answer: I will show you great and mighty things which thou knowest not”._ It also says _”in the day that I cry, then shall my enemies turn back; this I know, for God is with me”._
Say:

*>>> Powers of “thou shall not shine”, I am not your candidate, die! in the name of Jesus.*
*>>> Powers assigned to use my body as a dumping ground, you are liars, die in the name of Jesus.*
Many years ago, people believed (even scientists and geographers then) that the earth was carried by a god called atlas; an idol; or that one large animal was carrying the earth. But if they had bothered to check up the Bible, it had already told us that the earth is floating freely in space. It took thousands of years before scientists and geographers could discover that the earth is actually hanging upon nothing: Whereas the Bible had already told us in *Job 26:7*. I am telling you about the Word of God being settled in heaven.
So, once that Word is settled, what you think does not matter anymore; just like men thought that the earth is carried on the head of somebody. The Bible remained where it remained and men still came back to acknowledge it. Science did not discover that the earth hangs upon nothing until 1650 AD. Many years ago too, people believed that the earth was flat and that if you travelled for a long time, you would eventually fall off.
It was not until one Christopher Columbus came and began to sail round the world that people believed that the world is round. But if they had bothered to check the Bible, they would have seen that it says the earth is a circle. *(Isaiah 40:22)*. It has been there in the Word of God but men did not believe it. They believed what they wanted to believe, but they came back to it. Same thing, what the Word of God is saying, it will not change that because of you. If it is fatter than you, it is you who will fatten up to catch up with it. If it is slimmer than you, you are the one who will slim down to meet up with it.
*Isaiah 40:22* says _”It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:”._ The book of Isaiah was written about 740 BC or 780 BC. It was not until 300 years later that one man called Aristotle was suggesting that the earth might be a sphere; circular in shape. It was 2,000 years later that they finally discovered that it is not flat. Somebody was even killed for saying that the earth is not flat. But it is in the scriptures. *”For ever, O LORD, thy Word is settled in heaven.”*
In the early 1840s or 1845s, a young doctor in Vienna noticed that when women go to deliver children, 30% of them died. He was troubled because he did not know why those women were dying. It was this young doctor Ignass who observed that the doctors usually first finished with people who died before going straight to the expectant mothers’ rooms. This was the normal practice because that time, they did not know that there were microscopic organisms, bacteria, viruses that follow people around. This young doctor then insisted that any doctor who had gone to look after the dead people should first wash his hands before going to the rooms of the expectant mothers.
Immediately that practice started, the 30% death rate dropped down to 2%. So for the first time, they realised that those doctors were transferring something from the dead to the living. And even in those days, when doctors washed their hands, they washed their hands in a bowl. After one doctor finished, another doctor would also wash his hands in the same bowl. It took time for them to realise that that was not the way to wash hands when you worked in a hospital. They then started to use running water to wash away the germs. But if they had bothered to read the book of Leviticus, they would have seen that the Lord gave specific instructions to the Israelites so that they were not killed by diseases.
It was in the Bible we first read about people washing their hands in running water because of infection. *(Leviticus 15:13)*. I am saying all these to you so that you can recognise the power and the infallibility in the Word of God, and when it says *”Thy Word is settled”*, it is settled whether you discover it, know it or not. As far back as the book of Leviticus this has been written and yet thousands have died, simply because of not washing their hands in running water to wash bacteria away. So, the Bible already recognised the presence of microorganisms as far back as that time.
The Bible also tells us that the children of Israel should be careful about what they eat, that once something dies, either by itself or something killed it, they should not eat it. So, thousands of years before modern science discovered or identified bacteria, God made provision for Israel by banning them from meat with bacteria. *(Exodus 22:31)*. Now scientists are discovering that some fats are good and some are not good; that some fats give cholesterol and heart disease, but as far back as the book of Leviticus, God banned His people from eating fat. *(Leviticus 7:22-24)*. So before modern day science discovered that saturated fat is not good, it was already in scriptures.
It is recently that scientists are just beginning to find out. When the Bible was saying “do not eat pigs”, a lot of people did not understand until now that people begin to realise the manner of sicknesses that can be passed from pigs to man; with all kinds of dangerous worms as well. When the Bible was clear on the kind of animal and fish to eat and not to eat, a lot of people did not understand. It is now they are realising. The Bible says we should avoid fish without scales. Many ask why, but scientists are now discovering that fishes without scales absorb poisons into their bodies and one could eat the poison.
The Bible recommends in *Genesis 17:12* that children are to be circumcised on the 8th day. Science is now discovering that the 8th day is the highest peak of the hormone that will help immunity in the body. Now, the world is trying to get out of Covid19, but long before medical science discovered it, the quarantine of people with infectious disease was emphasized in the scriptures *(Leviticus 13:46)*. Men did not know about the law of quarantine until the 7th century after many people could have died. *”Forever O Lord, thy Word is settled in heaven”.*
Without plants, there would be no human life and plants need sunlight, water and minerals to grow. Then they can make energy and food. If plants do not get sunlight, and they do not get water and minerals, they cannot produce the food that people eat, and people will die. So if you are a scientist and you begin to read the book of Genesis, God created that light first. Next, He created the waters; since plants need light and water. Then He put together the dry land. It is after all these that He made the plants. He did not make the plants before the sunlight or the water, it was after.
So, the plant is actually senior to man in age, because that is where his major food would come from. That is why man to create plants first. It was the Bible that made us to know that the life of the flesh is in the blood *(Genesis 9:4, Leviticus 17:11)*, before men began to recognise blood as the liquid of life.
Jericho was defeated and the site has been exhumed and they can see that there are walls that are buried inside the ground. Sodom and Gomorrah that the Bible said was destroyed, people discovered the site and saw that something like that could have happened there.
_”For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”_ Let me stop here for now. There are so many examples. The bottom line is this, if that Word is contradicting your life, then you have a great problem indeed. If you are disobeying something said by this Book, it is a great problem indeed. And if you do not believe what this book is saying, it is also a great problem indeed. It says *”Forever O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven”.*

5. I reject spirit of the tail; I claim the position of headship, in the name of Jesus.
6. By the power in the blood of Jesus, I break every witchcraft agenda to exchange and manipulate my star, in the name of Jesus.
7. Every curse and affliction working against the first born in my father’s house, die, in Jesus’ name.
8. Every dedication working against me as a first born, be destroyed, in the name of Jesus.
9. I destroy the power of any Herod assigned to trouble my first born destiny, in the name of Jesus.
10. Any covenant my ancestors might have made over my life as a first born, be broken, in the name of Jesus.
11. Every witchcraft aggression against my star, die, in the name of Jesus.
12. Any power redirecting my star, die, in the name of Jesus.
13. Every arrow of backwardness, fired into my star, die, in the name of Jesus.
14. I shall become a star in my generation, in the name of Jesus.

*Deuteronomy 28:7* – _”The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.”_
1. The purpose of the Lord for my business shall not fail, in Jesus’ name.
2. Every demonic obstacle on the way of the progress of my business, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every tongue saying I will not make it in my business, dry up, die, in Jesus’ name.
4. Every evil hand, pointed at changing the destiny of my business, be cut off, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every evil pronouncement and prophecy on my business, die, in Jesus’ name.
6. No weapon of satanic enchantment and divination assigned against my business shall prosper, in the name of Jesus.
7. Father, let uncommon and unusual doors of favour with men be opened for my business, in the name of Jesus.
8. I bind out of my life every spirit of error in business, in the name of Jesus.
9. Power to excel in my business, come upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
10. O Lord, teach my hands to profit and prosper in my business, in Jesus’ name.
11. Every rage of the enemy against my business, be silenced by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
12. Every satanic market-altar, militating against my business, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
13. Every evil conspiracy against my business, scatter, in the name of Jesus.
14. Every evil throne, assigned against my business, scatter, in the name of Jesus.

1. Satanic embarrassment, against my destiny, expire in the name of Jesus.
2. Powers that want me to die before my testimony, die in the name of Jesus.
3. Generational sickness inside my body, die in the name of Jesus.
4. Powers fighting to close my doors, die in the name of Jesus.
5. Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Arise, give me a mega miracle, in the name of Jesus.
6. Any voice, commanding me to carry the evil load of my father’s house, shut up by fire, in the name of Jesus.
7. Angels of my destiny, locate my foundation and kill my battles, in the name of Jesus.
