Onome Ebi: FIFA Celebrates Super Falcons Legend With World Cup Pictures

There is news about Super Falcons of Nigeria legend Onome Ebi.

Ebi is back on the social media trends as the Super Falcons return to the pitch.

Ebi made history last year when she became the first African woman to play in six World Cups.

The 40-year-old Nigerian has accomplished a feat that has only been surpassed by Homare Sawa of Japan, Christine Sinclair of Canada, and Marta of Brazil.

Only Formiga of Brazil, who has competed in seven competitions, is ahead of Ebi.

At the 2003 US World Cup, Ebi made her debut for Nigeria.

When she recorded the record, she was 20 years old at the time.

Along with the photos was a message that said, “Onome Ebi: Through the years. 🇳🇬 #FIFAWWC.”

Ebi is not part of the Super Falcons as they take on the Banyana Banyana of South Africa for a spot at the 2024 Olympic Games.
