The Mountain of Fire and Miracle ministries (MFM), annual 70 days prayer and fasting programme has begun to gather momentum.
The prayer and fasting programme which kicked off on Monday, August 7, is expected to end on October 15, 2023.
MFM’s General Overseer, Professor Daniel Olukoya, had declared this year’s praying and fasting, tagged “Prayer Battle 4”, which is a continuation of the previous years’ edition.
According to the Church, in an Instagram post, members of the Ministry are to break their fast on Mondays and Fridays by 5pm and other days by 2pm.
In a statement, “You are also to pray along with the Prayer Booklet. You can get the prayer booklet in any of our Bookshops or MFM Region/branches close to you,” the church said.
The church added that the programme has been vomited by the Holy Ghost to bring salvation, deliverance and healing of the spirit, soul and body to God’s people.
“While we await the return of the bridegroom, our Lord Jesus Christ, fasting exemplifies our attitude of spiritual hunger – the promise is that we will be satisfied.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” (Matthew 5:6). As you thirst after righteousness, the Lord God will fill and give you appetite for holiness, in Jesus’ name,” the church said.
Some members who spoke to this platform said the programme has indeed been a blessing to them, as countless testimonies have been recorded over the years as a result of participating in the programme.
They advised other members and non-members alike, who are yet to join in the fasting programme to key into the programme, so as to witness the awesome power of God, which is able to deliver to the uttermost.
