Kenyan authorities discovered 26 Ethiopian women locked up by traffickers in a half-completed house in the central town of Murang’a.
The raid occurred on Monday night at a small house where the women had been held for approximately a week with only a single mattress on the floor.
They were said to have been taken in at the Moyale border crossing on their way to South Africa.
According to the police, the women were held and their passports and cell phones were confiscated.
The owner and security of the house have also been arrested while the hunt for the traffickers continues.
