BARCELONA, Spain – Cristina Serra, former wife of Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has spoken for the first time since news of their divorce made the rounds.
Speaking after she was spotted in Barcelona shopping alone, a week after her split from Guardiola became public, Cristina said she is “feeling great”.
The mother of three was also seen smiling at the Spanish reporter who approached her in the city centre.
When asked how she was doing, Serra replied: “Perfecta, gracias” – “Perfect, thanks” in English.
She then added: “Everything’s fine”, when quizzed about her state of mind.
However, the Brazilian remained silent, when directly asked about the cause of her split from the Spanish tactician
There are speculations that Guardiola’s decision to stay in Manchester and sign a two-year contract extension with his club is the major reason.
The couple met in 1994 and married in 2014.
It is understood that Guardiola and Cristina continue to have a cordial and affectionate relationship and they have not split because of a third person.
