The conflict has resulted in the loss of over 46,000 lives in Gaza and 1,200 fatalities in Israel, leaving a trail of destruction and devastation in its wake.

According to UN assessments, a whopping 69% of Gaza’s structures have been impacted, with infrastructure damage totaling a staggering $18.5 billion. This has set Gaza’s development back a staggering 69 years, with more than 1.8 million people now in desperate need of emergency shelter.

The situation on the ground is dire, with 50 million tonnes of rubble, contaminated with asbestos and holding human remains, needing to be cleared. This monumental task could take a staggering 21 years to complete and cost a whopping $1.2 billion. To make matters worse, agricultural and water systems have been severely damaged, compounding the humanitarian crisis and leaving many without access to basic necessities like food and clean water.
