…Edo people are solidly behind Okoeguale, Imoloamen says

Peter Okoeguale, the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Governorship aspirant in the 2024 Elections scheduled to hold in Edo State, has organised a solidarity rally in Dublin and France to formally inform Edo indigenes of his ambition to run for the office of governor in the forthcoming election in the state.
The Esan-born philanthropist was welcome with great enthusiasm, pomp and pageantry – as the people assured him of their overwhelming support and loyalty to his ambition.
Among dignitaries in Dublin who witnessed the occasion were great Edo sons and daughters in the Diaspora whom have distinguished themselves in their various careers and fields of endeavour.
Later in the week, the rally train moved to France, where Okoeguale was equally overwhelmingly received by Edo indigenes and teeming supporters who were happy to receive him, pledging their unalloyed loyalty and support for him all through the entire process.
In all, the rallies were adjudged a huge success as Okoeguale has set the ball rolling in the Diaspora, ensuring that Edo indigenes spread across Europe are sensitised and carried along in his quest to be the next governor of Edo State.
The Uromi, Esan North-East LGA-born businessman says next year’s election in Edo would afford him the opportunity to set the records straight, as he is optimistic of clinching the ticket for the state’s number one coveted seat.
“Next year’s election is going to be an interesting one indeed. I also believe that it would be very competitive as Edo has a lot of very important, competent, efficient and committed candidates vying for this exalted office.
“However, I am of the belief that I stand a very good chance to scale the party primaries and eventually, the state election to become the next governor of our great state. As you can see, the support witnessed at these rallies in Dublin and France have been overwhelming and quite encouraging.
“The people have spoken with a loud voice and assured me of their total support in this journey. At the end of the day, by the grace of God, we hope to have the victory. We shall continue to mobilise, rally and sensitise our people across Europe, the world and in Nigeria to support us in this very important venture to redefine Edo State and put her back at the top of the country,” Okoeguale said.
Continuing, he says, “I believe I have something new and different to offer the Edo people. The political landscape needs a breath of fresh air. I represent that newness and freshness. Edo people deserve the best and I am ready to give it to them.
“In terms of my chances come 2024, like I said before, I am optimistic because anything I set out to do, I always put my all in it and ensure that I succeed. Like I said, our people need true change and I am ready to give it to them. It is achievable. We can do more in the education sector, more can be done in infrastructure development; we can equally do more in terms of employment for our youths. Women and children need to be empowered. There’s so much we can do and I dare say that I am poised to contribute to that change,” Okoeguale concluded.
Lending his voice to the matter, National Coordinator of Edo Mandate for Viable Democracy, Mr Elliot Imoloamen, has applauded Okoeguale for his courage, discipline, vision and commitment.
Imoloamen stressed his continued pledge and loyalty to Mr Peter Okoeguale, assuring that the good people of Edo State, especially the youths, were solidly behind him as their preferred candidate; more so, now that his mission is beginning to gather momentum and as he is fast gaining popularity.
According to Imoloamen, “Without any doubt he is fast gaining popularity and and his movement is gathering momentum, as we speak. He actually stands a good chance, if you ask me. The people of Edo at home and abroad have assured us of their support, and the youths are excited that someone young is throwing his hat into the fray.
“Okoeguale has the capacity and capability to rule Edo State. He is dynamic, fresh and unique when you consider those who may be vying for the exalted seat of Edo State Governor. He could be termed a new kid on the block and indeed a joker set to shock the so-called experienced campaigners.
“With all that is happening in the country today, the youths need a change and are ready to put their money where their mouth is; that is, to vote in a candidate whom they believe can restore their hope and aspirations in this country, revive the economy and bring back the lost glory of the land. I tell you, Okoeguale is the man for the job!”
