‘I Want To Be Very Clear’ – Carlo Ancelotti Breaks Silence On Claims He Will Leave Real Madrid At The End Of The Season

Carlo Ancelotti has responded to rumours that he will quit Real Madrid at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Ancelotti refuted rumours he will quit Real Madrid

…Current contract runs until 2026

…Real take on Salzburg in Champions League

WHAT HAPPENED?

Radioestadio Noche on Onda Cero reported on Monday that the Italian coach is all set to part ways with Los Blancos at the end of the 2024-25 campaign despite his existing contract running until the summer of 2026. The report also added that Ancelotti is very happy at the club, but he has made a firm decision to move on after the current season.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

However, Ancelotti has refuted the rumours of him leaving the team in the summer. Ancelotti renewed his Real Madrid deal in December 2023 and last month, he cemented his place as the club’s most successful manager of all time by winning his 15th trophy with Madrid after their triumph in the Intercontinental Cup in Qatar.

WHAT CARLO ANCELOTTI SAID

The 65-year-old told a press conference on Tuesday when quizzed on the reports claiming he is set to leave the club: “Hahaha. I want to be very clear: I will never decide the date of my departure from this club in my life. I know perfectly well that it will come one day, but I will not decide that day.

“It could be tomorrow or in one or five years. I have the advantage that Florentino will be here for four more years and I have the objective of achieving them with him. We can say goodbye together.”

WHAT NEXT FOR REAL MADRID?

The reigning Spanish champions, who went top of La Liga again after a 4-1 win over Las Palmas last weekend, will be next seen in action on Wednesday as they take on RB Salzburg in the Champions League.
