OGUN, Nigeria – The General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) worldwide, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, has dedicated the remodelled MFM Akute Mega Regional HQTRS LR19, located at 5/7 Water Pipeline Road, Asore, Akute, Ogun State.
Tagged a celebration of 25 years of glorious and awesome wonders, with the theme: ‘Arise and Shine’, it was indeed a day which witnessed Thanksgivings of the Eternal Mercies of God.
The glorious and colourful event, which held on Sunday, November 24, (and was the climax of a three-day event which commenced on Friday, November 22), recorded a large turnout of congregants, worshippers and guests from all walks of life.
This was the first time the General Overseer was visiting Region 19 since it became a Mega Region. The last time Dr. Olukoya visited Akute was nine years ago, when Pastor Seun Atanda was still the Regional Overseer.
Dr. Olukoya dedicated the Mega Region, as well as commissioned some church projects, including the remodelled state-of-the-art church building.
Present at the event were some past Regional Overseers of the Mega Region, other Regional Overseers, senior pastors and ministers in the ministry. Equally present were traditional rulers, residents, members of other churches within and without the community, friends and well wishers of the church.
Due to the General Overseer’s coming, the special Sunday Anniversary and Thanksgiving of Eternal Mercies service commenced at 12 noon, rather than 7am, which usually is the time of commencement of service. The church auditorium was filled to capacity and the overflow under the giant canopy outside the church premises had members and visitors alike, expectant of the touch of God upon their lives.
All those present at the special service (most of whom were already seated by 9am), came with their bottle of oil, water, mantle and other faith materials to connect to the awesome power of God to save, heal and deliver to the uttermost, as Dr. Olukoya prayed on these materials.
The Man of God preached on the topic: ‘Divine Intervention’, where he talked about how the God of the suddenly appears in a situation, hitherto thought to be hopeless by man. He stressed the need for Christians to have unshaken faith in God no matter what they were going through; keeping hope alive and trusting that He would always come through for them.
After the opening prayer, the loaded programme of events was followed by a praise worship session, coordinated by the Mega Regional Music Director, Bro. Ayodele Adeyelu. There was also a prayer session led by the Head of the Prayer Warriors at the Mega region, Bro. Patrick Amolo; followed by the opening hymns for the day. The Mega Regional Overseer, MRO Ayo Smith delivered his opening speech, and this was followed by the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Bro. Wale Akinfolarin, delivering his own address. The history of the church was read out by Sister (Mrs) Mary Oyetunde, a Foundation member of the Mega Region.
There was another round of prayer sessions, violin girls club presentation and more praise sessions before the G.O’s ministration. Afterward, there was an award presentation ceremony, cutting of the anniversary cake by the General Overseer, the MRO, Pastor Ayo Smith and Mummy MRO, Pastor Mrs. Adebimpe Smith. The event was anchored by the Assembly Pastor, Pst Olusegun Gbenga and Sister (Mrs) Amina Omoike. The closing hymn was followed by the benediction.
