…Super Eagles captain shells out millions for private jet to fly stranded guests out of Uyo
Super Eagles stand-in captain at the 2023 AFCON William Ekong shelled out a tidy amount of Millions of Naira to charter a private jet to fly out guests who were left stranded after they attended the launch of his foundation.
“Ekong spent 17 Million Naira to charter a private jet to get some of his guests out of Uyo no thanks to the labour strike,” a reliable source informed SCORENigeria.
The launch of the Troost Ekong Foundation Sunday in Uyo attracted some of Nigeria’s foremost entertainment stars like Odumodu Black, Falz The Bad Guy, Sabinus and reality TV host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
The Nigeria Labour Congress strike meant that five players – Calvin Bassey, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Frank Onyeka, Paul Onuachu and Semi Ajayi – were delayed from joining the Super Eagles camp in Uyo in good time.
They finally reported in camp Tuesday afternoon after the pay strike was suspended.
